Contacting the Public
Diabetes Research & Wellness Foundation raises money by a variety of means. We are compliant with the Data Protection Act regulations and take steps to ensure we do not contact members of the public registered with the Mailing Preference or Telephone Preference Service or those specifically requesting not to be contacted.
By post
We have a direct mail programme which is aimed at improving awareness of diabetes and public understanding, as well as generating funds to be directed towards our objectives.
Our direct mail programme includes a biennial sweepstake, handled by our Response Handling House in Crawley, West Sussex.
By telephone
From time to time we do also contact existing supporters by telephone. This may be done by an in-house team or by using a specialist agency. If the latter option is employed, the agency will always identify itself as 'working on behalf of DRWF'.
Questions or concerns about the sweepstakes, telemarketing or other matters relating to our fundraising and educational programmes should be directed to our head office at 101-102 Northney Marina, Hayling Island, Hampshire. PO11 0NH.
