Research Advisory Board - Anthony Baines, BSc, PhD

Reader in Molecular Cell Biology, University of Kent.

Dr Baines attained his PhD in Biochemistry at King’s College, London. He later moved to the University of Kent, where he is Reader in Molecular Cell Biology.

Early in 2005 Dr Baines took up a sabbatical position at the New York Blood Center, 2005, funded by Leverhulme Trust Research Fellowship.

Dr Baines work has also recently been supported by the BBSRC, European Union Framework V programme and the British Heart Foundation.

His major research interest is the control of membrane properties, dynamics and structures by the cytoskeleton.
