Go Quackers for DRWF and sponsor a duck!
The DRWF are pleased to be taking part in this year's 'Great British Duck Race.'
The race will take place on Sunday, 31st August 2008 on the River Thames, near Hampton Court, Surrey. Our supporters can choose to ‘adopt a (rubber) duck’ on behalf of DRWF, race it down the Thames, and be in with a chance of winning a great prize!
The race is an annual event that currently takes place in 18 countries around the world. The aim is to raise funds for UK charities by sending 165,000 rubber ducks sailing down the Thames. Now that's a sight we'd like to see!
The owner of the first duck across the finishing line will win a grand cash prize of £10,000. Further prizes will be awarded to the next 30 ducks that cross the line.
