DRWF to exhibit at Hampshire Mela Festival

DRWF will be exhibiting at this year's Mela Festival, the festival of South Asian Arts, being held at Hogland's Park, Southampton, Hampshire on Saturday 17th July.

The Southampton Mela Festival is a free festival full of an assortment of musical styles, exhilarating dance acts and mouth watering food, plus a wide range of family activities all celebrating South Asian culture.

This year will be the eighth Southampton Mela Festival and it will be hosted by Art Asia.

DRWF will be exhibiting at stand H1 in the Health Zone, for which the charity is the major sponsor. Lloyds Pharmacy will be supporting DRWF by performing diabetes screening on the day. As part of the charity's awareness raising activities, it is important to reach the estimated 500,000 individuals who may have diabetes but don't know it. Those of south asian descent are five times more likely to develop type 2 diabetes.
