Sara Moore
Diabetes Specialist Nurse, St Richards Hospital, Chichester, West Sussex.
Sara Moore started diabetes nursing in 1986 working for ten years in London. Then worked for Diabetes UK (formerly the BDA) for two years as diabetes care advisor. She joined the diabetes team at Chichester five years ago.

Professor Edzard Ernst
Leading expert in Complementary Medicine, Peninsula Medical School, Exeter
Professor Ernst qualified as a physician in Germany in 1978 where he also completed his MD and PhD theses. He has received training in acupuncture, autogenic training, herbalism, homoeopathy, massage therapy and spinal manipulation. He was Professor in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR) at Hannover Medical School andHead of the PMR Department at the University of Vienna. In 1993 he established the Chair in Complementary Medicine at the University of Exeter.
He is founder/Editor-in-Chief of two medical journals (Perfusion and FACT). He has published more than 30 books and in excess of 700 articles in the peer-reviewed medical literature. His work has been awarded with eight scientific prizes.

Gwen Hall
DSN/Clinical Practice Educator, Surrey PCT, Guildford and Waverley Locality
Gwen Hall is a registered Mental Nurse and Registered General Nurse and has specialised in diabetes since 2005. Whilst working in Haslemere, Gwen combined the part-time roles of Diabetes Facilitator ad Practice Nurse Trainer for the Health Authority. She is an Advanced Leader for the University of Warwick Certificate in Diabetes Care.
She is currently employed as a Diabetes Specialist Nurse in Primary Care in the Guildford and Waverley locality and as a Clinical Practice Educator. Among the many other strings to Gwen's bow, she is on the editorial board of Practice Nurse journal, is Associate Editor of Diabetes and Primary Care and is a Visiting Fellow of the University of Surrey. She writes regularly for magazines and journals and has contributed to several publications.

Azmina Govindji BSc RD
Consultant Nutritionist and Registered Dietitian
Azmina Govindji has an Honours Degree in Nutrition and a postgraduate diploma in Dietetics. She has been chief dietitian for Diabetes UK and a consultant on diet and diabetes for health professionals and food manufacturers.
Azmina contributes to several publications and makes TV appearances regularly.
She is media spokesperson for the British Dietetic Association and has written several books, some published in association with DRWF including Great Healthy Food Diabetes and Think Well to Be Well.

Sadie Cox
Education Consultant in Healthcare and DSN.
Sadie is a Registered Nurse with over twenty years of clinical expertise with an interest in both conventional and complementary medicine.
Education has been a primary focus throughout her career and she has developed numerous programmes for Primary and Secondary Care in her role as Nurse Practitioner and Diabetes Specialist Nurse in West Sussex.
Sadie joined Warwick University in 2003 to develop the role of the Education Facilitator in Primary Care across the South East of England. During this time she was also a Senior Teaching Fellow with Warwick University for Warwick Diabetes Care until 2005.
Sadie’s energies are now focused on the development of ’Partners for Health’, an independent healthcare consultancy.

Sarah Brewer
GP, Health Journalist and Expert in Complementary Medicine.
Dr Sarah Brewer worked as a GP before moving into hospital medicine.
She was health journalist of the year in 2002, and is the author of over 35 books, including Natural Approaches to Diabetes and the Natural Health Guru series.
Sarah is health columnist for several newspapers and magazines including Prima and Marie-Claire.
