Reader in Medicine, University Hospital Aintree, Liverpool.

Dr Wilding qualified in medicine at the University of Southampton in 1985 and received his DM from the University of Southampton in 1994. He gained experience in Diabetes, Endocrinology and General Medicine in Southampton. His previous appointments include MRC Training Fellow and Senior Registrar at the Hammersmith Hospital, London where he undertook three years laboratory-based research into the neurobiology of obesity and further clinical training. In 1996, he took up a post as Senior Lecturer in Medicine in Liverpool and was promoted to Reader in 2001.
