Two marathon runners are looking for your support to raise as much money as possible this Spring as they prepare for events in London, Paris, Rome and South Africa covering more than 100 miles in aid of DRWF.
In April, Charles Spelina is set to take on three major events for DRWF, including the London Marathon, and John Kinchen is also hoping to help raise lots of money in aid of the charity at the Rome Marathon. Throughout 2012 both long distance runners have gruelling schedules lined up.
Charles Spelina is set to travel the world this year as he bids to run marathons from Marrakech in January, to Las Vegas in December. In April he is set to take part in three events in aid of DRWF. The first of these is likely to be one of the toughest he is set to face – the 34.8 mile Two Oceans Marathon in South Africa on 7th April. He will then head to France for the Paris Marathon (26.2 miles) on 15th April, before returning to England for the London Marathon (26.384 miles) on 22nd April. In total he is set to cover 87.384 miles for DRWF in just one month.
“I have chosen to run for this charity as my brother is diabetic,” said Charles.

John Kinchen is also set to don a DRWF vest at the Rome Marathon (26.2 miles) in March. In the run-up to celebrating his 50th birthday in August John decided to mark the last year of his 40s by running a marathon a month from September 2011-August 2012. He has already taken part in events at the Somme, Brussels, Cognac and Portsmouth and is also set to run in Saville, Naples, Brighton, Salzburg and Caen. On 18th March he is set to hit the streets of the Italian capital in aid of DRWF.
