Study recruitment: Type 1 diabetes survey on shaping the future of diabetes research
Views of researchers working in diabetes wanted for study on priorities in type 1 diabetes research.
Researchers in Ireland are looking for the top 10 research priorities in type 1 diabetes.
Views are wanted for a survey they hope will help to identify the most pressing areas of research into the condition.
The survey is organised by researchers at the University Hospital Galway.
Pedar Rooney, Network Program Manager at Diabetes Clinical Trial Network, said: “We are currently in the second phase of the Diabetes Type 1 Priorities Survey, which seeks to establish the top 10 research priorities for this condition.
“Your participation in this survey will help ensure that the voices of experts like yourself are heard in determining the direction of future research efforts. By ranking the identified priorities, we can focus resources and attention on areas that hold the greatest potential for improving outcomes and quality of life for individuals living with type 1 diabetes.
“Moreover, we kindly ask for your support in sharing this survey with your colleagues, professional networks and patients who may also contribute valuable perspectives to this endeavour. By spreading the word, we can engage a broader community of experts and enhance the richness of insights gathered.
“The survey will only take a short amount of your time, yet its impact will contribute to shaping research agendas, guiding funding decisions, and ultimately, making a difference in the lives of those affected by type 1 diabetes.
