The second B Festival held in Cheshire at the end of September went with a buzz and raised £1500 for DRWF.
Held at the Jolly Thresher pub in Lymm, Cheshire, the day of live music raised £5,300 of which £3,300 went to Myeloma Blood Cancer Research, £1,500 to DRWF and £500 to St Peter’s Church, Oughtrington, Lymm.
The B Festival acts included rock, folk, covers, original music, crooners, and all manner of musicians young and old!
In addition to the music, visitors were entertained by Heather the Fire Dancer and ‘Viva Brasil’ dancers! The Jolly Thresher pub also put on a popular hog roast which went down well.
The day once again attracted local celebrities including, Peter Collins MBE, Russell Harris and Jenny Powell, who took over the auction for Man United football tickets and raised £460.
One of the organisers, Jane Holmes said, 'Thank you to Jonny Wrigley and everyone at The Jolly Thresher, without you we couldn’t have done it. Also a massive thank you to everyone who came on the day and helped to make the atmosphere so fabulous.'
DRWF would like to thank the B Festival organisers for their kind donation again this year.
