Be part of the DRWF team of 12 Vitality London 10,000, and join around 25,000 people taking part. DRWF has 12 places available and we ask for a registration fee of £10 and a pledge to raise £50.
Information for runners participating in the 2017 Vitality London 10,000 on Monday 29 May will be available soon.
The 2017 Vitality London 10,000 starts with the elite wheelchair race at 09:55, before the mass race begins at 10:00 on Monday 29 May. Runners are advised to arrive at least an hour before the race start time in order to get their bearings, find the baggage tents and find out any last-minute details about the course.
The Vitality London 10,000 starts and finishes in St James’s Park and uses Green Park as its assembly area.
The race starts on The Mall and finishes on Spur Road opposite Buckingham Palace. Runners follow a clockwise route around the City of Westminster and the City of London. The course passes many of London’s famous sights including Admiralty Arch, Nelson’s Column, St Paul’s Cathedral, Mansion House, the Bank of England, the Old Bailey, Somerset House, Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey.
Each kilometre will be clearly marked. A timing mat at the halfway point will take your 5km split time. There are water stations at 3km and 6.5km. Toilets will be placed close to 3km, 5km and 7km for runners’ use.
A copy of the Vitality London 10,000 Final Instructions magazine will be mailed out to all runners. This magazine contains all the information you need to have a trouble-free Race Day on Monday 29 May. Please keep it safe and make sure you have read and understood what you have to do between receiving the magazine and Race Day.
