Angel Radio, based in Havant, is the longest running community radio station in the UK. It is also the community radio station with the largest geographical coverage, broadcasting on 89.3FM to Portsmouth and the surrounding area and on digital DAB to West Sussex, Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, London, Birmingham, Glasgow and many other cities. The radio station broadcasts entertainment, information and mental and physical stimulation to a predominantly mature audience.

Tony said: “Lee was featured on a show called ‘Snap & Crackle,’ which refers to the background sounds on some of the vintage records requested by listeners to be played during the show.

“Lee was the guest providing information about diabetes in the form of a friendly informal chat and talked about all aspects of diabetes, including how it impacts on his personal life.

“The programme received good instant feedback from listeners, the furthest being Joan, an elderly lady listening in Norfolk who has been living with type 2 diabetes for more than 30 years.”
