Solent Diabetes Association celebrate nine years of supporting people with diabetes

The Solent Diabetes Association recently celebrated their ninth anniversary with a party at their shops in Hampshire.

The group provides support to the diabetes community in South East Hampshire and the City of Portsmouth and has charity shops in Fareham and Gosport.

Solent Diabetes Association Manager Gail Nash, Chairman Brian Edwards and Committee Member Chris Edwards welcomed supporters to enjoy a buffet and a drink to mark the occasion.

The group has also been very supportive of DRWF over the years, with the shops stocking full sets of our diabetes patient information leaflets. They also have a collection pot for donations when people pick up the diabetes education literature. To date we have received £2,796.88.

  • The Solent Diabetes Association have purchased a holiday home to meet the need for affordable breaks for people with diabetes and their families in the Portsmouth and South East Hampshire area.
