We are inviting delegates attending United Through Diabetes this weekend to talk with author Azmina Govindji about diet and diabetes.

DRWF diabetes information leaflets form a valuable part of the charity’s information resources available for people living with diabetes to offer the best available guidance of how to manage complications to do with the condition.

As part of our PIF TICK accreditation process, DRWF is committed to making sure all its information is reliable, evidence-based and accessible, to ensure we are a “trusted information creator”.

Among newly commissioned leaflets to the series is the updated diet and diabetes leaflet – and we would like to talk with people with diabetes to hear what you feel are important dietary issues to help with good self-management of diabetes.

We are currently working with Registered Dietitian and member of the DRWF Editorial Advisory Board Azmina Govindji to produce a new version of the Healthy eating and diabetes leaflet and would like to hear your views on what you would like to see included.

A good opportunity for the next phase of this consultation process will be available this weekend – for delegates at the United Through Diabetes educational event at Chesford Grange, Kenilworth, Warwickshire, on Saturday, 16th September.

Azmina will be in attendance to present at the event, in addition to having a stand in the exhibition area, where you can also find copies of her recent book Vegan Savvy: The expert's guide to nutrition on a plant-based diet.

We are inviting delegates to say hello and discuss some the most useful diet and diabetes knowledge for people living with the condition to know about.

  • What are your key concerns when it comes to diet and diabetes?
  • What do you think a diet and diabetes information resource should include?
  • What format do you like to learn about diet and diabetes?

We look forward to meeting you at the event and hearing your ideas to help us in producing this latest information!
