I will still have any unused funds on Unity after the 1st of August, what happens to that money?

Unity will refund any un-played monies to DRWF. We will then organise for payment to be made to refund these monies to you, or if you would prefer for these monies to be treated as a donation, please let us know as soon as possible.

Is the DRWF Lottery on Affinity still a pooled lottery?

Yes, the charities using the Affinity Lottery platform are entered into a single pooled draw every Friday for all charities using Affinity, but the money you pay will be paid to DRWF.

Will I receive emails / letters from Affinity Lottery or DRWF?

All correspondence relating to our lottery will be branded as DRWF with the Affinity lottery logo.

Are the Prizes changing?

The 1st prize of £25,000 and 2nd prize of £1,000 are not changing and still require either a 6 or 5 number match to win. For the remaining 35 prize positions (5 x £20, 10 x £10 and 20 x £5), someone is guaranteed to win one of these prizes every single week.

For full details of how the prizes are awarded, and your chance of winning please refer to the DRWF lottery T&Cs here: https://drwf.affinitylottery.org.uk/terms-conditions/

If I win, how will I receive my prize?

All guaranteed weekly prizes are paid directly into the bank account you pay your direct debit from.  1st and 2nd prizes will be paid by cheque within 30 days of the completion of eligibility checks.

Will my lottery numbers be changing?

Yes, we will allocate you a new number on Affinity and this will be confirmed to you when you receive your welcome letter and payment schedule.
Affinity does however provide the facility for you to change your lottery number via the 'Manage my account' area; changes are only made following your next payment date.

Why is the direct debit payment amount changing from £4.34 per chance a month to £4 or £5 per month?

Affinity collects a monthly direct debit amount based on whether it will be a 4-week or 5-week month between collections.  Whereas Unity adopted the approach of £1 per chance x 52 weeks dived by 12 months = £4.34.

Will my direct debit collection day be changing?

Your first collection date will be 1st August 2025. This enables us to provide you with your direct debit advance notice letter (payment schedule) at least 10 days prior to the first collection, and for you to enter the first Affinity draw on 8th August 2025

Affinity does allow direct debit collections on 1st and 15th of each month, therefore, at a later date, if you wish to change you collection date you can do this via the 'Manage my account' area.

I didn’t pay by monthly direct debit; can I keep my current payment method and frequency?

Affinity only allows for monthly direct debits.  This provides greater flexibility in the event you want to change your lottery number(s) or increase/decrease the number of chances you play each week as the change is only made following your next payment.  Also, paying by direct debit enables guaranteed prizes to be paid directly into your bank account if you win.
