Diabetes Research and Wellness Foundation (DRWF) and Autek have announced a new collaboration focused on improving diabetes outcomes for neurodivergent individuals.

We are creating videos to help professionals and autistic individuals better understand autism and diabetes. These videos will include personal experiences, relevant for autistic audiences, and will be reviewed for clinical accuracy.

Our Objectives

  • Identify key barriers and supports for autistic people managing diabetes.
  • Develop resources to assist autistic individuals with diabetes management.
  • Provide materials to help professionals collaborate effectively with autistic people.
  • Establish a research agenda to improve NHS support for autistic people after a diabetes diagnosis.
