Diabetes Wellness Morning North
This Spring we are returning to Hartlepool for our popular Diabetes Wellness Morning North, so what better time to put a big focus on our health, wellbeing and diabetes?
Join us at The National Museum of the Royal Navy for an interactive and busy morning of discussion, questions and answers, exhibitors, support and information on all aspects of living with diabetes.
The morning is perfect for people living with all types of diabetes, family members, friends and even those with an interest in the subject.
We will be joined by our Hartlepool and North Tees NHS Foundation Trust colleagues, Diabetes Specialist Nurses Julie Sinclair and Patricia Lowther and Consultant in Diabetes Dr Sue Jones from the University Hospital of Hartlepool. They will lead us on some discussions about diabetes and also the popular Diabetes Question Time Q&A session, where you will get the chance to ask any questions you have about managing your diabetes.
The morning is also a great opportunity to meet other people with diabetes and make new friends.
Our colleagues from local health organisations such as Tony from Healthwatch Hartlepool, the Hartlepool Health Trainers and the Hartlepool Diabetes Support Group will be joining us and visiting experts will also be on hand to answer your questions and provide information on the latest insulin pumps, blood-glucose meters and continuous glucose meters (CGMs) plus much more.
Refreshments and lunch will be served and don't forget to bring some spare change for the raffle.
DRWF subsidises the cost of attending these events and we only ask for a small registration fee of £5, of includes everything.

Ahoy there!
Once we wrap things up at 1pm, why not make the most of your visit at the National Museum of the Royal Navy and experience what life at sea was like over 200 years ago. Step on board Europe’s oldest floating warship HMS Trincomalee and see if you have what it takes to be a sailor in the 1800’s. Get hands on with Horrible Histories Pirates: The Exhibition where you can captain your very own ship and design your own pirate flag. Or find out more about what lies under the water in our newest exhibition Diving Deep: HMS Invincible 1744 as you learn about the fascinating discovery and underwater excavation of HMS Invincible in this incredible interactive exhibition. You can even treat yourself to some ships biscuits and lots of other goodies in the gift shop. Go on, you know you want to.
