From Diwali and Mela, Ramadan and Eid, Christmas and Easter to Chinese New Year and beyond, festive seasons are a time for celebration and delicious food.

For people managing living with diabetes, big celebratory occasions can present unique dietary challenges.

We decided to wrap up our 2025 United Through Diabetes event programme by bringing together an expert panel of Diabetes Specialist Dietitians and nutritionists to take a deep dive into the topic for our Celebrate in Style seasonal webinar.

We were joined by Diabetes Specialist Dietitians Sheena Bhageerutty, Lauren Holloway and Georgette Alayyan, Dr Hala Alsafadi, Dr Sarah Schenker and Registered Dietitian and DRWF Editorial Advisory Board Member Azmina Govindji, who took us on a journey through the whole calendar of multi-cultural holidays and festivals and managing your diabetes and navigating those diet and party food challenges during tempting times.

You can watch the Celebrate in Style webinar at the United Through Diabetes Digital Hub

In addition, see the Digital Hub for presentations from all our educational event webinars from throughout 2025 and a whole raft of supporting resources, signposting links and helpful information from our Sponsors Dexcom, Embecta and Insulet (Omnipod) – all available now!

We extended the webinar theme with a special article Eight lights and smart bites: Staying healthy and in control of your diabetes from the first latke to the last doughnut during Hanukkah, which also took place in December.
