DRWF is looking for new lay members to join our Editorial Advisory Board.
DRWF is committed to providing accurate and trustworthy educational information for people living with diabetes and their carers.
We are looking for people living with all types of diabetes who would be available to provide additional proofreading to our resources ahead of publication.
The role involves reading and reviewing draft documents, in line with our Editorial Guidelines (to be provided) to ensure the content meets the needs of people living with the condition.
Please write to newsletter@drwf.og.uk stating why you would be interested in assisting with this voluntary role, including:
- Name.
- Type of diabetes e.g. type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, type 3c diabetes, prediabetes, gestational diabetes, maturity onset diabetes of the young (MODY), latent autoimmune diabetes in adults (LADA).
- Any specific areas/complications of diabetes you have interest in.
- Any relevant editing experience you can offer that may be beneficial in this role.
DRWF produces a quarterly newsletter and provides a series of diabetes information resources covering a wide range of complications related to the condition.
As part of our commitment to providing high-quality, clearly communicated, evidence-based healthcare information, DRWF is accredited by the PIF TICK, run by the Patient Information Forum.
We request applications of interest are submitted by 20th May.
