Researchers, clinicians and healthcare professionals from across the globe descend on Vienna this week.

DRWF will be joined by a host of our funded researchers and colleagues at this week’s 61st Annual Meeting of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD).

The event is held this week from 15–19 September in Vienna, Austria.

EASD is a membership-based academic non-profit organisation, founded in 1965 and based in Düsseldorf, Germany.

A statement from EASD said: “The aims of the Association are to encourage and support research in the field of diabetes, the rapid diffusion of acquired knowledge and to facilitate its application.

“The EASD Annual Meeting is an excellent opportunity to stay up to date with recent developments in the diabetes field. The programme features groundbreaking basic research, cutting-edge clinical trial results and in-depth expert debates. Meet with colleagues from around the world and be part of the key discussions that will shape the future of diabetes research and care.”

DRWF will be joined by our sister organisation, Diabetes Wellness Sweden, representing the International Diabetes Wellness Network of charities from the US, UK, Sweden, Finland, Norway and France.
