Focus on preventative measures and living well with the condition.

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundations Trust is hosting a virtual educational talk providing an opportunity to learn more about preventative measures for those at risk of developing type 2 diabetes and how to live well with the condition.

The talk will include a presentation by Dr Mayank Patel, Consultant Physician in Diabetes University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust and member of the DRWF Editorial Advisory Board, on reducing the risk of type 2 diabetes and steps that can be taken to live well and prosper for those who have been diagnosed with diabetes.

There will also be a contribution from Preeti Beri, project manager in the patient experience team at University Hospital Southampton, focusing on the Living Well with Diabetes self-referral service which aims to help patients make informed choices and decisions about their health to successfully self‑manage their condition.

This event is part of an ongoing series to help University Hospital Southampton members look after their own and other people’s health.
