Ascensia Diabetes Care said: “Every diabetes journey has a moment that changes everything. We want to raise awareness, start conversations, and help the world better understand the moments, experiences and turning points that shape life with diabetes.
“More than 4 in 10 adults living with diabetes worldwide don't yet know they have it (International Diabetes Federation Diabetes Atlas, 2025). For more than 250 million people, the moment that changes everything is still to come.
“Your moment might be:
- Recognising the signs: noticing symptoms and understanding what the body is telling you - the first step in any journey.
- Receiving a diagnosis: a defining moment that reshapes how a person sees their health and their future.
- Finding support: discovering community, care and connection that makes the path forward feel possible.
“These moments are often connected to awareness, action and care. They remind us that what happens early can shape the future.”
Sarah Tutton, Chief Executive at DRWF said: “This is a wonderful way to share visual experiences of life with diabetes whilst supporting your chosen charity at the same time. What a lovely way to recognise World Diabetes Day and the strength of the global diabetes community.”
