A series of NHS videos offers a wide range of advice on living with diabetes from diet to lifestyle.
The team at NHS West and North Hampshire Community Diabetes Services have a dedicated video channel designed for anyone living with diabetes or caring for someone with diabetes.
The videos cover many aspects of living with diabetes, including: what is diabetes?; understanding type 1 and type 2 diabetes; managing diabetes effectively – from diet and exercise to medications and how to treat hypers (high blood glucose), and hypos (low blood glucose) for those on insulin or sulphonylureas.
A statement from the All About Diabetes team said: “Empower yourself with the knowledge to take control of your health!”

This video demonstrates how to use food labels, carb reference books, apps and weighing scales to calculate carbs with confidence.
Video presenter Georgette Alayyan, Lead Diabetes Specialist Diabetes Dietitian and Patient Education at NHS West and North Hampshire Community Diabetes Services, said: “Mastering this skill can help you make informed food choices and fine-tune your insulin dosing or meal planning.
