Our Partnership Camps are where many children and young people with health challenges grow their confidence, form lifelong bonds, and feel more independent than ever before.

Whether your family make new friends, take on the climbing wall, learn more about diabetes, create an art masterpiece or find new talents, you should all leave camp feeling proud.

Type 1 Diabetes Comics

Our friends Dr Mayank Patel, Consultant in Diabetes at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust and DRWF Editorial Advisory Board Member, and Professor Partha Kar, Consultant Endocrinologist at Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust and National Specialty Advisor, Diabetes for NHS England teamed up with the Revolve Comics Publishing Company and people living with type 1 diabetes to create their award-winning comic book series about diabetes-beating superheroes. We were lucky to have them at United Through Diabetes to meet our attendees and discuss their inspiration to take the comics from concept to page.
