100 Years of Insulin

In 2021, we celebrated the 100th year anniversary of the discovery of insulin – a landmark moment for people living with diabetes worldwide.

The discovery is still considered to be one of the most significant medical developments in history, which transformed diabetes from a fatal disease to a manageable condition and prolonged life for decades.

Our research is helping advance our understanding of diabetes and it's complications. Our support of Islet cell transplant and has made a life-changing difference for a small number of people living with type 1 diabetes.
