
DRWF Fundraising: On your marks and get set to run for diabetes in 2026
We are offering places in a number of running events this year to support diabetes research where runners can sign up to fundraise for the charity.
Running events in different regions across the country are available to DRWF supporters throughout the year for those looking for their next challenge.
Distances from 5km to full marathons and more physical and endurance events from bungie jumping to obstacle courses are covered so there is something for all levels – from beginner to experienced trail blazers.

From bungie jumps for adrenaline seekers to fun runs and marathons for all levels of runners, London and the South East is packed with things to do for charity.
Wales, Midlands and the East
From running a half marathon in the streets of the Welsh capital to battling through a 5km inflatable obstacle course, there are plenty of fun and challenging options available to you.

Northern England Events
From running through forests to taking on a triathlon, if you are looking for some adventure or a serious challenge, we have plenty of runs to offer in Yorkshire, the North East and North West.

Sunday, 15th March
The Bath Half Marathon is one of the longest running and most popular city centre road races in Britain.

Every year, runners in the Berlin Half Marathon get to experience what many athletes around the world can only dream about as they take their final strides. About a hundred metres after passing through the Brandenburg Gate, their arms will go up in celebration as they cross the finish line.

The Brighton Marathon is one of the UK's most popular running events, drawing thousands of participants each year to the vibrant seaside city.

Great Manchester Half Marathon
Sunday, 31st May
The world-famous Great Manchester Run now has a half marathon distance! The course takes you past the sights of Manchester including Old Trafford, the Imperial War Museum, the new Coronation Street Set, and the Beetham Tower.

With a great 10km route through the streets of Manchester city centre, it is the perfect event for anyone to achieve their running goals. The Great Manchester Run 10k is a popular event that attracts runners of all abilities.

The Cardiff Half Marathon has grown into one of the largest road races in the UK, taking you and 29,000 others through the beautiful scenery and historic buildings of the city centre.

Probably the world’s favourite 10 mile running event, with inspiring history, salty air and glorious sea views guaranteed. Portsmouth’s supporters will keep your spirits and motivation up the whole way round, with blaring music, cheers, high fives, fist bumps all part of the incredible Great South Run experience.
